This RX8 GT3 started life with a 13B rotary—190whp, 116,000km on the clock. Phase one was just wheels, pads, and alignment. Then the rotary did what rotaries do, and the real build started.
K24A3 turbo swap with almost everything home-made: exhaust manifold adapter, downpipe, intermediate pipe, full PTFE AN fueling, 3D-printed throttle body adapter and dashboard. Nothing off-the-shelf where we could build it ourselves. The Bosch 74mm throttle body came from a Porsche 997 Turbo—bolted to a Skunk-style intake manifold through our own adapter plate.
This car is the ultimate "figure it out" build. Every problem got a custom solution. The result is a K-swapped GT3 that's faster, lighter, and actually reliable—running a full custom harness, carbon dash, and proper aero. Still evolving.
